Technology Tool of the Week:  Google Cultural Institute

Google Cultural Institute is an incredible way to explore the world art, history, and geography! Google has done an outstanding job working with world galleries to be able to “walk through” galleries, see the artwork in a way that you could never be done even if you were there, and get a sense of history and the important people that made it happen.
Please check out the below video on Google Cultural Institute!

How can I use this in my class?

This website would be an outstanding resource for Fine Arts, History, World Languages, English, and really many other subjects! This website allows your students to get a sense of place and time through Google’s details of 360-degree imaging, and up close photography. Your students can explore places in a new way! Students could write from an artwork (such as a critique, creative writing, etc.), students could research a place and important times, people, and art. This could be used as a teaching tool while introducing topics associated with this site.

TOMORROW: Makerspace input in the Library- I will be attending an open meeting for staff regarding the Makerspace that is coming to EHS! If you would like to come and get some insight on the Library Makerspace, or share ideas/input, come on down to the library! (I can also answer your tech questions there!).
