Technology Tip of the Week: Chromebook FAQ's and Shortcuts!                                       Today is the primary election day... don't forget to vote! Before I talk about the technology tidbit this week,  I wanted to take a minute to recognize all of those who lost their lives seventeen years ago on September 11, 2001. I recently came across a New Hampshire annual tribute to the fallen of 9/11/01 called "Flags on the 48" (raising a flag on all of the 48 4,000 foot mountain peaks in NH) and wanted to share the link and the video.

Chromebook Shortcuts:

As of the end of this week, both the freshman and sophomore students will be equipped with a Chromebook.  There are also teachers that are using Chromebooks as well. I thought it would be helpful to share some Chromebook shortcuts for teachers to help their students and themselves using these devices! As you may or may not have noticed, the keyboard is a bit different from a PC or Mac.
There is no “Caps Lock” button, and the top row has different shortcut keys. Here is a list of Chromebook keyboard shortcuts.

Note: After you highlight text, use two-finger touch on the touchpad to open up the cut, copy, and paste function.

Please check out the Frequently Asked Questions about Chromebooks for Teachers that I created.
