Tip of the Week
: A New Look in Google Sheets

Recently Google Sheets updated the menu bar to shorten it up and make it easier to find the most popular tools. I wanted to bring this to your attention, as it threw me off a bit when I was recently using Sheets!

They also added a few new features and rearranged some of the right click options in Google Sheets.

  • You can now freeze a row in Sheets by right clicking on the row or column.

  • File, Edit,View, Insert, Format, Date, Tools, Extension, Help, and Accessibility menus have all been rearranged.

  • Approvals (NEW!)- Request approval for your Google Sheet for feedback. Go to "File- Request Approvals".

  • Add "People Chip" (Insert- People Chip) allow you to link to an sau16.org email (person) or someone in your contact list. You could create tasks for example and use the "people chip" to assign tasks. The shortcut to adding a "people chip" is to simple use @ in the cell and start typing a name.
