New Google Meet Feature
Present high-quality video and audio in Google Meet
You can now share higher-quality video with audio content in a Meet video call through a new
present “A Chrome tab” feature. Now, when you use this feature with video content playing,
everyone in the meeting will see and hear the video and audio being shared. Until now, users
have been able to play video while presenting in Meet, but may have noticed choppy playback
and no audio. Screenshots below show the Present now choices & the Share a tab window
within an active Meet.

Google Meet "Breakout Rooms":
While Google is rapidly adding more and more features to cater to educators’ needs during
this remote learning period, they have not yet added the much-desired breakout rooms.
Here is a work-around that you can use immediately in order to facilitate the breakout room
function using Meet & Slides. Here is the 2-step process & a link to the slide which you can
add to your own drive .

Meets Now appearing within Gmail interface:
You may have noticed that very recently Meets is now appearing right within your gmail
interface underneath your account picture. This is just another way to access the Meet app.

Tiled (Grid) View in Meet (without the extension):
Meet now has a native “Tiled View”, looks like Grid view, without having to use the app I recently shared. If you open a Meet, go to the lower right corner (3 dots), and choose
“Change Layout”.
After “Change Layout”, select “Tiled”
