Tip of the Week: Canva for Education_____________________________________________________________________________
by Sandy Blanc
Recently, I discovered that there is a FREE education license for Canva (not to be confused with Canvas!). Canva is an online software that you can use for graphic design (creating lessons, brochures, infographics, newsletters, business cards, and LOTS more)!
Canva for Education has signed the New Hampshire Data Privacy Agreement as well! 😀
What is Canva for Education?
The below video is an excellent,18 minute tutorial that will demonstrate how to set up your account, set up classes, add students to your classes, basic editing, how to assign to students, how to assign a collaborative assignment, and more!)

How do I get a free Education account?
- Go to Canva for Education link:https://www.canva.com/signup?signupRedirect=%2Fedu-signup&loginRedirect=%2Fedu-signup&brandingVariant=edu.
- Click "Sign up with Google"
- use your SCHOOL SAU16.ORG email address.
Once you set up your school account, you can start creating with full access to all templates, fonts, etc. Your first class will set up automatically. You can rename the class if you would like.
To rename the class- click on the class name and hover the mouse until you see the "pencil" icon. Click the pencil to "edit", then rename.
How to add more classes to your account in Canva:
- From the top corner of the "homepage", use the "gear" icon- Account Settings- Billing & Teams, scroll to "Class" section and "Create a new Class".
To add your students to your class, click on your class name- then select "People". You can share a link or show them an invite code to join.
