Tip of the Week: Closed Captions live with Google Slides!
On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, I attended the Christa McCauliffe Technology Conference in Manchester, NH. I learned some really fun Google tools and tricks that I am anxious to share with you!
Using LIVE closed captions in Google Slides!
This feature is great for class presentations (by students or teachers!). When you create a Google Slideshow, you now can turn on LIVE closed captions that will show at the bottom of the presentation what you are saying! For the most part, it works accurately. It may get a bit less accurate the farther you are from your computer.
How to turn on live closed captions in Google Slides:
- Create a Google Slideshow
- Click on "Present"
- At the bottom of the presentation, you will a list of options... click on the one that says "CC" (Captions).
- If it is turned on correctly, you will see the "CC" icon turn yellow.
- When you start talking now to present, you will see what you are saying LIVE at the bottom of the screen! How cool!
