Tip of the Week: Classic Sites is going away! How to migrate your Classic Site to New Sites

Many SAU16 staff have websites currently built with the Old/Classic Google Sites. If you do, now is the time to plan migration of your website to the New Google Sites.

Classic Google Sites will be DELETED at the end of 2021.

However, you should be aware that even now, the functionality of classic Sites is becoming outdated….

According to Steegle, "Classic Sites was originally released in February 2008, yes 11 years ago at the time of writing, and its infrastructure and integrations with other products and gadgets are quickly becoming outdated so some classic Sites features will stop working or work differently" (Steegle).

After you migrate your website, you can locate it to edit at sites.google.com/new.
