Tip of the Week: Zoom Set up with one meeting link per class
Happy Tuesday! I am sharing this tip because I JUST learned how to set up a Zoom meeting using "recurring meetings" with "no set time". So, what does this mean?? (You do NOT need to change your meetings, this is informational sharing for you to be aware of!)
We had a rough start with fumbling through Zoom settings and which way was the best way to set up the meetings. Recently I learned something new, which is how to set up a Meeting in Zoom as a Recurring Meeting that has no set time. I am sharing this now, if you are looking to simplify your meetings from calendar to your home page in Canvas (as an example). OR, if you are using a Personal Meeting Room (same for all classes), this may be a better option.
The Personal Meeting Room is problematic because you are using the same link for ALL classes. You cannot pull a "attendee report" from a personal room meeting (that I know of anyway), and it is difficult to look up any issues if you have a "Zoom bomber" if all students are using the same meeting.
If this is too overwhelming, you can keep it in the back of your mind maybe for the start of next quarter.
